
TAT Call Center 1672 is a phone line service for tourist information inquiries through 90 lines. The service offers 3 channels:
- Contact Call Center officers: Tourists can directly inquire for tourist information from our call center officers; the service is available daily from 8.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m.
- Fax on Demand system is a 77-province information service via facsimile by dialing the number 1672 from the fax machine and choosing the designated code. The service is available 24 hours in both Thai and English.
- Audio Text is an automatic answering system providing tourist information of 77 provinces by calling the number 1672 and selecting the designated code. The service is offered 24 hours in both Thai and English. In addition, a speech recognition system, a voice command instead of number dialing from a phone panel, is going to be implemented; the service is expected to be available by January 2012.
Remark: The phone rate to the TAT Call Center 1672 will be charged differently. For local lines where residents who live in Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathumthani, and Samut Prakan, the service will be charged at 3 Baht per call. However, if calling from a home line or mobile phone from other provinces, the rate applied will depend on that area and promotion of the mobile network providers of the users.
